Martin had to move a mountain of snow to get the kitchen window in. That was after digging a tunnel in the snow to side the east side of the barn. It was also after digging out the front of the house, twice, to put the bay windows in.
Renovation of a 400 square foot house built in 1922 located in Cornish, Maine. The original foundation was 20 feet by 20 feet. At some point in the house's history a small (10' x 8') addition was put on the back. Later that addition was removed and enlarged to an addition the full width of the house and remained 8 foot deep.

The snow came off of the front roof
Martin had just cleaned out around the house to have access to the windows when the snow let go off of the front roof and undid all of the work he did.
That meant spending a part of another day shoveling snow.

Martin put in the last two windows that were salvaged from the house in the east side of the barn.
Then he finished the exterior siding of the east side.

New windows are going in
Martin has 7 of the new windows in.
Above is the living room window that faces west, toward the driveway.
These are the computer room window (left) and the downstairs bathroom window (right) that face east.
Above are the new windows on the south side of the house. The two on the left are in the front bedroom. The window on the right is above the stairs.
This window is the upstairs bathroom window.
Bay windows are in.

spring is coming?
The calendar says that it is almost spring. The snow and temperatures say that it is still winter!
I am making plans for a hedgerow on the east side of the property.
I also want to put in a perennial flower bed in front of the house.
