Martin stopped by a local excavator to find out prices for crushed stone. Now that we are working at ground level and don't need to haul materials in and out of the basement, a load of crushed stone made more sense than buying it in bags. (We also used the empty plastic bags, refilled with sand, to make sand bag walls in the basement.)
The excavator has been watching the progress at an tigin and is excited with the changes so far.
However, with the arrival of the crushed stone comes the fun job of making concrete in the cement mixer. I know what I am going to be doing every weekend this fall.
