This weekend, we need to take down this pine tree.  Most of its heaviest, longest branches grew toward the house.  It also leans a bit toward an tigin. Both Martin and I are a bit leery of taking this one down.  It is right behind the house and exactly where the septic system needs to be installed. Let's hope it goes more smoothly than the last tree.

Martin limbed as many lower branches as he could, from the ladder, from climbing into the tree, and from using his self-invented arm extender.

It came down, mostly in our yard.  The top landed on the hedgerow between our yard and the neighbor's with one longer branch going into the neighbor's yard.  No damage done, so we're calling it a successful job.
